ARTS.BLACK is a journal of art criticism from Black perspectives predicated on the belief that art criticism should be an accessible dialogue – a tool through which we question, celebrate, and talk back to the global world of contemporary art. The journal is edited by Taylor Renee and Jessica Lynne.

Alison Burstein, Copy Editor
Alison Burstein is an independent curator. She has curated exhibitions or programs for institutions including Mana Contemporary, The Luminary, Knockdown Center, Museum of Jurassic Technology, and NURTUREart. In previous roles as Program Director at Recess and as a member of the education departments at MoMA, the Guggenheim Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum, she organized a wide array of artist projects, public programs, performances, and experimental classes. Alison holds an MA in art history from Columbia University and a BA from Wesleyan University.
